Would you like a call from one of our members, and have that opportunity to chat to them about how the club works, what kind of activities we do, what to expect on meets (especially in the current circumstances), how to stay informed on the activities through Facebook and email, etc.? It’s also useful for us to know what level of experience you have, where you are based, and your time flexibility. That helps us figure out how to pair you up with others in the group or direct you to what you might need, so that you can feel comfortable going to a meet where you might not know anyone. If you would like this or just have some specific question, email membership@wessexmc.org.uk.
The fee is reduced for a half membership year if you are joining after 30 June. If joining in December, you will pay the full annual fee and your membership will run to the end of February the year after next.
There is also a reduced fee for students in FULL TIME education.
A one-off joining fee is added to your first membership payment.
The fee includes affiliated membership of the BMC (currently £21.00 for a full member). Benefits of BMC membership include liability and accident insurance and various discounts as well as supporting the BMC’s vital work on behalf of hill walkers, climbers and mountaineers. This can be claimed back from the BMC if you are already a member.

To join you must first fully complete an online application form. Your login details will then be emailed to you (this verifies your email address). If you can’t find the email check your spam folder. If you still can’t find it use the ‘lost password’ option.
Login with these to see the payment details. Payment can be made by cheque by post, by bank transfer or by paypal (includes credit card payments). Please consider not using paypal to save the club having to pay the bank charges.
We usually process payments within a week, but it can take longer if people are away. Please be patient, we are all volunteers!
Under 18 members must have a parent/guardian in the club and the parent/guardian must make the membership application (log in).
